We have sent out a short survey on the subject of ‘How Switzerland goes on holiday’. These are the results and our tips for collecting cashback.

The majority of respondents to our holiday survey were families with children, which made us very happy. The responses showed that most Swiss people are not giving up on holidays despite the difficult economic times. Over 90% of Swiss households are planning to go on holiday this year, and usually several times! How and when depends mainly on the budget and the time available.

Perhaps also because of inflation abroad, but in any case the Swiss love their home country. Around 90% of our respondents like to spend part of their holidays in Switzerland, preferably in the canton of Graubünden or Ticino.

Although most of them have already stayed in a Swiss youth hostel, only around 3% plan to spend their holidays there. This could be a good alternative, especially nowadays when families have smaller budgets at their disposal. If you pay there with the Clanq card, you will even receive 7% cashback in your child’s digital piggy bank.

Otherwise, the survey showed that over 50% spend their holidays in a hotel. For this group, Clanq has offers at family hotels such as the Hotel Saratz, the Valbella Resort, the Schweizerhof Lenzerheide and the Märchenhotel Braunwald

We also have a cashback partner in our range for the 7% who like to go camping: Campofelice Camping Village directly on Lake Maggiore.

The largest group, 38%, stated in the survey that their favourite activity was experiencing nature. Fancy a trip too? Then head to Stoos in central Switzerland. There, the Stoos cable cars offer a 20% cashback and you can hike with your family on a varied adventure trail.

If you do want to go abroad and are looking for peace and relaxation like 26% of our survey participants, we recommend the Hotel Just be in Sicily, which offers 18% cashback.

We wish everyone a good rest and a great time with the family during their holidays!
