About Clanq

We firmly believe that every family – regardless of education and income – is capable of providing financially for their children. Clanq gives them the tools they need.

Our story

The name is a combination of «clan» (family) and «q» as in «bank». It also evokes the sound of coins in a piggy bank. Except that our piggy bank is digital – always with you and designed for the whole family.

Our story

2021 – Idea and foundation

We know from our own experience that parenthood means responsibility, including financial responsibility. The question of how to provide for children in a simple, motivating and manageable way became the starting point. Clanq AG was founded in Zurich.

2022 – Launch in Germany

The Clanq app is launched in Germany with the aim of making saving for children easier and more family-friendly. From the outset, we have not defined ourselves as a financial services provider or tech company. Clanq serves higher goals.

2024 – Clanq comes to Switzerland

With Cornèr Bank as our partner, we are bringing Clanq to Switzerland. Founded in Lugano in 1952, this independent Swiss financial institution has offices in Chiasso, Lugano, Geneva and Zurich. Clanq powered by Cornèr stands for financial security, everyday practicality, and understandable financial education.
