Our story
We have experienced it ourselves: Being a parent entails great responsibility. There are always decisions to be made and the question of how to best prepare your child for life influences our actions on a daily basis.
In addition to the many responsibilities as parents, at some point the question of how to save for one’s child also arises.
Clanq was founded in Zurich in 2021 with the idea of providing targeted and sustainable savings help.
Clan and bank make Clanq. Just like the sound you hear when you put coins in your piggy bank, except that from the very beginning we had a digital piggy bank in mind that you could always carry with you. And the idea of involving the entire family clan was also something we had in mind from the start. In 2022, the Clanq app was launched for the first time, initially in Germany. We launched it in Switzerland with Cornèr Bank in 2024.

With Cornèr Bank, founded in Lugano in 1952, Clanq has the ideal partner to offer specific banking services for families. Cornèr is an independent Swiss banking institution with branches in Chiasso, Lugano, Geneva and Zurich.
The Cornèrcard division is a pioneer in the issuing of payment cards in Switzerland. It provides numerous information resources for private customers and is an established point of contact for financial matters.
